• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kat Denning -- Great Sequel : I really liked Book 1, which I read a few years ago, and was excited to see the long-awaited sequel! My son was only 9 when the first book came out and is now 12, so the story is much more his speed now. We didn't reread the first before starting this one, so it took a little time remembering everything. This fast-paced story picks up with Ben, Marcus and Avery as they are finishing up middle school (still 13). What I really liked was the mix of connecting real world struggles and what the trio went through in Meridia, which was different for each character (ex. Marcus gained confidence realizing his weight didn't define his capabilities while Ben was feeling a disparity between his experiences/treatment in both worlds). They return to the world of Meridia and fall pretty seemlessly back into the storylines there, which was a bit jarring. I would have liked a smoother slower transition, but the speedy pace appealed to my son. I liked the lessons woven into the story and the adventure aspect. Would recommend for any YA fantasy lover ( Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2021 )

• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amy K. -- Son Loves This Series! : “Fever Dreams and the End of All Things,” is the second book in the “Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and the Fading Creeps” series by A.J. Massey. I happened upon this book while looking for something a bit new and different for my 11-year-old son to read. While this book is recommended for ages 12 and up, he is quite an advanced reader and seemed intrigued by this story in particular, so I bought this one and the first one for him. He flew through them both and is ready for more! I highly recommend this one for parents looking for a great story that really captivates the imagination!
